Also, an ancient carousel beside the market and a Christmas market on costumes and jokes, in Plaza Santa Cruz. to buy funny stuff for New Years Eve and the 28th December (Spanish April's Fool).
Buy your Christmas presents in one of El Corte Inglés department stores. See the Cortylandia Christmas show at the one in Preciados (metro L1,L2, L3 Puerta del Sol; L3,L5 Callao). Other Corte Inglés with Christmas shows and decorations: Goya,76 (L2,L4 Goya), Serrano,47 (L4 Serrano) or Princesa, 56 (L3,l4,l6 Argüelles).

Amayra: excellent Spanish food and great service, very close to Puerta del Sol. Address: Alcalá, 19. How to get there: metro L2 (Sevilla)
